The Society
International Society of Maa Anandamayi Consciousness — a non-sectarian, non-profit research and awareness society dedicated to the study and worldwide sharing of the extraordinary consciousness of Maa Anandamayi.
Our Purpose
ISMAAC is not a devotional organisation. We do not perform puja, organise pilgrimages, or run ashrams. We are a consciousness research and education society — focused specifically on the nature of the extraordinary awareness embodied by Maa Anandamayi and what it can reveal about the deepest nature of consciousness itself.
Maa's consciousness presents a unique case study for anyone interested in the science or philosophy of mind, the nature of self-realization, or the outer boundaries of human potential. She was self-realized at birth, maintained consciousness across all states, operated without an ego-centre, and repeatedly demonstrated capacities that challenge materialist models of mind.
Systematic study of primary source documents — Vachanamrit, Bhagvat Guru Geeta, and philosophical texts — to document and interpret the nature of her consciousness.
Making this knowledge accessible to a global audience in both English and Hindi — through this website, publications, and events.
Ensuring that the primary source documents, first-hand accounts, and rare testimonies surrounding Maa's consciousness are preserved for future generations.
Building an international community of researchers, practitioners, and seekers united by serious interest in the nature of consciousness as exemplified by Maa Anandamayi.
Our Foundation
All ISMAAC research draws from these primary documents. We go to the source — not secondhand interpretations.
Connect
We welcome researchers, writers, spiritual practitioners, and anyone with a genuine interest in the nature of consciousness as embodied by Maa Anandamayi.
